Planet Alert for April 2008

Happy New Year! I am writing this article on the Spring Equinox and the astrological New Year. People say to me, how can astrology work if the signs don’t correspond with where the planets actually are in the heavens? Vedic Astrology is based on where the planets are in the heavens and there is about 23 degrees difference. This means that you could be an entirely different sun sign in that system.  Western astrology is based on a different system. It starts with the Spring Equinox, and Aries, which rules new beginnings, is the first sign of the zodiac. Both the Vedic and the western system work. The normal chart in both systems is divided into 12 signs, although one of these days we’re going to have to figure out how to use the 13th sign. The Mayan calendar is based on a 13-20 system.

Do you ever wonder how astrology works? We choose our birth charts because of what we need to experience in this life-time. When we take our first breath of air a frequency is set in our bodies by the placement of planets in the heavens. When the planets make certain aspects to each other it sets up a frequency which can be measured by scientists. We all have our own frequency. A famous Astronomer and Astrophysicist named Percy Seymour has formulated a scientific theory of astral influences that describes the solar system as an intricate web of planetary fields and resonances. The Sun, Moon, and planets telegraph their effects to us via magnetic signals. Magnetism is known to affect the biological cycles of numerous creatures here on Earth, including humans. His theory proposes that planets raise tides in the gases of the Sun, creating sunspots and their particle emissions, which then travel across interplanetary space to strike Earth’s magnetosphere, ringing it like a bell. These planetary magnetic signals are then perceived by the neural network of the fetus inside the mother’s womb, heralding the child’s birth.

Astrology was held in high esteem in the past. Many famous people who were considered astronomers were actually astrologers, or both. Tycho Brahe, who was born in Denmark, was one of the greatest astronomers/astrologers that ever lived. Galileo Glilei was born in Italy in 1564 and he was another famous astrologer. Johannes Kepler was born in Germany in 1571 and he was also an astrologer. We have an astrology college here in Seattle that is called Kepler College. Sir Isaac Newton was another famous astrologer. Then there was Nostradamus who was one of the best, and the Magi who went to look for Jesus were also astrologers.

There are both positive and negative aspects to planets and signs, as there are to numbers. We are given the opportunity to either respond positively or negatively to our life plan. Sometimes it has been very easy to fall into the ‘poor me syndrome’, or why can’t I create what I choose to experience syndrome? I believe this cycle is ending because we are now vibrating at a much higher frequency. I think it will now become much easier to create what we choose to experience.  It’s also time to develop an ‘Attitude of Gratitude’.

Spring is here and Daffodils are blooming in my garden right now. I love flowers. It sure was a wild winter for many people. This unusual weather will continue because it is part of the times we live in. The Spring Equinox chart for Washington, D.C. had the planet Pluto on the ascendant opposing Mars in cancer. Pluto in Capricorn is right over the mid-section of the United States. No wonder there were storms there yesterday that caused a lot of flooding. Pluto has been stationary over the mid-section for a few years, and was highly activated when Hurricane Katrina came into New Orleans. Pluto will continue to cause havoc in the mid-section for another couple of years. Every time Pluto is activated, some kind of earth change happens in that area. Yesterday the Sun was square Pluto. Cancer is a water sign, thus the flooding in that area. The other side of the world that is affected by the Mars/Pluto energy is Tibet.

Have you wondered why there have been so many storms in Europe lately? It’s because Uranus (storms) is in the sign of Pisces (water) and is affecting coastal Europe. Uranus will be affecting that area for another couple of years so be prepared for more storms.

The planet Jupiter is on 18 degrees Capricorn, which is right over New York and the surrounding area. Looks like there will be more natural disasters on the east coast. New York is of course the banking capital of the United States, so watch the Stock Market. This equinox has a packed second house, which rules money so keep your eye on financial dealings. We have been in a banking crisis for a long time. When Mars moves into an opposition to Jupiter at the full moon of April, problems with finances and business may come to a head. This energy will also continue to activate challenges with foreign countries. I hope the drums of war don’t start beating to cover up the financial crisis we are going through.

The Sun is moving through Aries right now and is activating the area off the west coast which includes Alaska. It is also activating coastal Europe. When the Sun makes a 90 degree angle to Jupiter around April 10, there will be another large Earth event. The most likely areas are China (who just had a 7.2 quake), Alaska, or the east coast of America. Then the Sun will move into Taurus on the full moon of April 20, and will start activating the west coast of America and the Middle East. Keep your eye on those areas. Passover also starts on April 20.

The birth chart of the Federal Reserve Bank has its sun on 1 degree Capricorn. Pluto is activating this degree right now, and Pluto is the transformer so this bank is going through a transformation process. It can also mean the death of this bank because Pluto rules death, but it’s more likely a transformation. This bank was born with Pluto opposing its sun which means it likes power. No wonder those bankers want to control the United States. Uranus, the planet of change is exactly on top of the bank’s node on 18 Pisces. This definitely brings changes. Maybe they will just continue to print more money to bail out everyone who needs it.

At the March 21st full moon there was a fast acting cardinal cross in the heavens with the Sun in Aries, moon in Libra, Mars in Cancer, and Pluto in Capricorn. Did things in your life kind of come to a stand still, or appeared stuck for several months? They did in my life. Now with this fact-acting cross in the heavens, things will start to move again. This is really a good time to start something new.

Because this is the year of Armageddon, (Nov 2007 – Nov 2008) many people have been going through their own personal Armageddon. All of the people who lost their homes, and all of their possessions are experiencing their Armageddon. These past few months have been a very emotional time period for many people. On the other hand, this is the time we have been waiting for because Earth is experiencing tremendous light. It’s time to activate our light bodies.

Have a great new beginning and start creating what you choose to experience. Develop a happy and fun loving attitude. We are the way-showers and there are many people who will start coming to us wanting to know how we can be happy when there is so much trauma going on in the world. We will say, can’t you see the beautiful new Earth? So Be It!
